How to Download & Install ProPresenter

Downloading ProPresenter is straightforward. The part worth doing carefully is preparing the production machine, signing in or activating the correct seat, granting the required permissions and testing the real output chain before an audience is in the room. This guide covers the current ProPresenter release for macOS and Windows. The page keeps its older URL so existing bookmarks and search links continue to work.

Before you download anything

Check the operating system. Renewed Vision currently lists macOS 13.5 or newer and 64-bit Windows 10 version 1903 or newer as minimum supported operating systems. Check the vendor requirements again before buying hardware.
Back up an existing production machine. Use ProPresenter's documented Sync/export workflow so the libraries, playlists, themes, media and support files you need are preserved deliberately.
Have the computer owner/administrator available. Installation, helper tools or operating-system security prompts can require approval on a managed production machine.
Know how the machine will be activated. Current subscription users sign in with a Renewed Vision account and select an available seat. Older perpetual licences may still use a licence key or unlock code.

Step 1: get the installer from the official source

Use the official Renewed Vision download page. It lists the current macOS and Windows builds and also provides access to previous versions when a legacy workflow genuinely requires one. Avoid mirror sites, repackaged installers and unofficial cracks.

Step 2: install on Windows

Download the Windows installer from Renewed Vision.
Run the installer and approve the Windows security prompt after confirming the publisher.
Accept the licence agreement and keep the default installation location unless your production environment requires something else.
Let installation finish before launching ProPresenter.

Step 3: install on macOS

Download the macOS build from Renewed Vision.
Open the downloaded disk image and move ProPresenter into Applications if the installer asks you to.
Launch the copy in Applications rather than running it from the downloaded image.
If macOS blocks a legitimate signed build, review the message in Privacy & Security before overriding anything.

Step 4: approve the permission prompts

On macOS, ProPresenter may request Camera and Microphone access when certain video inputs are used; other operating-system prompts depend on the hardware and features you configure. Windows may also request device or firewall access for relevant workflows. Grant only the permissions you understand and need, then follow the operating-system or vendor instructions if a feature remains unavailable.

Step 5: sign in or activate the machine

For a current ProPresenter subscription, open ProPresenter → Settings → Account → Sign In, authenticate with the Renewed Vision account associated with your organization and select an available subscription seat. Legacy perpetual licences use the older registration workflow instead. If you are evaluating the software, Renewed Vision also offers a 14-day fully registered trial with no output watermark.

Step 6: configure screens and build one test playlist

Set the operating system to extend the desktop, then assign the audience and stage outputs inside ProPresenter. Import a few representative songs, images and videos and test them on the actual projector, LED processor, capture card or streaming chain you will use live.

Pre-service checklist

The audience display shows the correct output, not the operator desktop
The stage display is mapped to the correct physical screen
Every video and audio clip plays from local, reliable storage
The subscription seat is active and signed in, or the applicable legacy licence is activated
No watermark appears on audience or stream outputs
The complete service has been rehearsed on the real hardware

Common first-install problems

The installer downloads but will not open

Download it again from Renewed Vision, confirm you selected the correct operating system, verify the publisher/signature and check the operating system security message. Do not solve a blocked installer by downloading a different copy from an unofficial site.

The second screen shows the desktop

Make sure the operating system is using an extended desktop rather than mirroring displays, then select the correct physical output in ProPresenter's screen configuration.

A watermark covers the output

A watermark usually means the machine is not currently authorized for clean output. For subscription users, confirm you are signed in and that an active seat is assigned to this computer. For a legacy licence, confirm registration is still active. If you are testing, request the official 14-day trial rather than relying on watermarked output for a live event.

After installation

Do not update a production machine immediately before a service. Read the release notes, back up the working configuration, update during a quiet window and run a full rehearsal afterward. For hardware sizing, use our system requirements guide.
